Lots of surprising things await the Z Fighters at Dr. Gero’s laboratory. For one, Android 17 finishes Dr. Gero. Also, Android 18 finds a pod containing the dormant Android 16. Trunks unleashes a powerful energy blast in an attempt to destroy them all, but to no real effect. Once 16 is activated, he reveals his mission is to kill Goku. 17 and 18 decide that would be fun and take 16 to find Goku – ignoring the Z Fighters in the process. Vegeta, though, hates being ignored and pursues to get a fight.
