Dr Gero Creations - Androids
Android 8
Android 8 is the eighth android built by Dr Gero and the first android we see in the Dragonball series, he was used by the Red Ribbon Army to guard Muscle Tower, he later refuses to fight Goku stating that he hates violence. Goku quickly befriends android 8 giving him the nickname Eighter.
Android 16
Android 16 is another android created by Dr Gero who was deemed a failure because of his gentle nature he is released by androids 17 and 18 after they rebelled against Dr Gero. Android 16 then attempts to hunt down Goku and destroy him as he was programed to do. #16 was greatly damaged by Cell as he failed to protect android 17 and 18 from getting absorbed by Cell. Android 16 was then restored by Bulma and her father. #16 gave up his orders to Hunt down and destroy Goku and joins the Z-fighters in the fight against Cell. He was later destroyed by Cell, pushing Gohan over the edge making him transform into Super Saiyan 2
Android 17
Android #17 along with his twin sister android #18 betrayed Dr Gero and destroyed him. They then went with #16 after Goku to fulfill #16’s programming. Android 17 is the first to be absorbed by Cell which gives Cell the power to go to his second form. Android 17 eventually fuses with another android 17 to create super 17.
Android 18
Android #18 along with her twin brother android #17 betrayed Dr Gero and destroyed him. She went with 16 and 17 after Goku and soon got absorbed by Cell after 17 taking Cell to his perfect form. Gohan knocked 18 back out of Cell when they where fighting and she was saved from death. A wish was made on the eternal dragon to remove the explosives within her body and she then went on to marry Krillin and to have a daughter Marron.
Android 19
Android #19 is another android by Dr Gero #19 is a large android with pale white skin and a mechanized voice. He is an energy absorbing model, equipped with the ability to drain the life force from his enemies. He successfully managed to drain Goku’s energy. #19 was then completely annihilated by Vegeta.
Dr Gero
Dr Gero is the former chief scientist of the Red Ribbon Army. He managed to create a chain of androids throughout the series. Dr Gero also made himself into an android called Android 20, an energy absorbing model just like #19. Dr Gero is betrayed by androids 17 and 18 who destroy him to prevent him from ever deactivating them again. We see Dr Gero again in Dragonball GT when he works together with Dr. myu to create the android Super 17.
Cell
Cell is Dr Gero’s Perfect Creation. In present time Cell is still in his larval form however future Cell has traveled back using Trunks time machine. After absorbing countless humans and acquiring their power he sets his sites on the androids 17 & 18 to obtain perfection. Cell is later destroyed by Gohan after he transforms into a Super Saiyan 2.
Super 17
Super 17 is an a fusion of the original Android 17 and another 17 that Dr Gero and Dr Myu while they where in HFIL. The two androids 17’s manage to create a rift between HFIL and Earth so they can go back to Earth once again. When the two 17’s fuse they loose their personality and becomes a destructive drone. Super 17 becomes so powerful even Goku in Super Saiyan 4 has no chance against him. Super Android 17 kills Krillin which sends his sister, Android 18, into a frenzy fighting against her brother. Super 17 manages to regain control of himself for a short amount of time. Just enough time to tell Goku his weakness before he looses himself again. Goku then uses this weakness to destroy Super 17 once and for all.
